Hello from Olympia, WA - Garden Plants and Gardening Forum

Just stumbled across this lovely site, and already I am drooling! So much good stuff here- I am looking forward to hanging out here for learning and inspiration!!

I come from an extensive gardening family (Russian-Canadian roots) and while I know a lot about what can make a nice garden, I am still falling short on where to put mine in my highly landscaped yard/neighborhood...my dream is to be able to grow so much food I can give it away! I'd like vegetables, fruit trees, herb garden and a whole bunch of flowers. Working in the dirt is like stress therapy for me and I can think of nothing that makes me happier!

I am especially interested in urban and organic gardening, as well as any fun creative gardening crafts and plant tips I can find! I love my houseplants as well... but it gets rough for them in the winter months.

Welcome to the Forums, I went to Olympia, WA this last summer on a road trip. I love WA.
