Hi, I'm new to the site but started gardening by "helping" my Italian nonna in her Chicago victory garden. She grew an incredible amount of produce in a very tiny space. My garden in southern Illinois is quite a bit larger. Unfortunately, I'm not home to garden this year, but am looking forward to next year. We're in the upper part of Zone 7, and with a bit of work can have some things growing almost year round (under plastic). Artichokes are one of my favorite veggies, and I've had pretty good luck growing them in the past. Hope all of you are having a productive gardening season.
