I am so happy to be part of this forum. I just joined tonight and can't wait to jump right in.
I have always gardened and in the last few years since my son was born have really gotten back to my roots so to speak and have been focusing on living a simpler more self-sufficient lifestyle which includes lots and lots of gardening. It helps that my son has been saying since he could talk that he wants to be a farmer, lol. Just the other day eh asked me if we could get chickens, ducks, rabbits and a cow. I had to explain that when you live in town the neighbors generally don't like you having livestock but that hopefully one day we will be able to get a farm. And in case you couldn't tell in addition to being a gardener I am a very proud momma to one sweet little farmer in the making.
When not doing something garden or mommy related (or both!) then I love to knit - especially with natural fibers, crochet again all natural, read, hike, fish, spend time with family and friends, chat online (obviously!) and well just enjoy life. I look forward to getting to know everyone and will be reading up on what all there is to do here and taking part more this week. Thanks so much for having me!
