I can't believe all of the info on this site! Who collected it all? How can I contribute? Can I upload pictures to the site or do I have to host them elsewhere and link my post to it?

Normally, you upload photos to like Picassa Web, or Flickr (both of which are free services), and then link to them using the [IMG] tag (or clicking that little icon of a mountain with a sun in it in the tool bar).
If there's enough demand (bring your friends!) the site owners will buy and install the 'photo post' plugin that would let people upload galleries of photos and include them more easily in their posts. have you checked out the blogs yet? You can have a free gardening blog here too! |

Cool. Now that I know how to post pictures I can contribute a little more.
I plan on starting a log of my current plants and there progression in propagation. Would I use the blog for this? I have never "blogged" before. A site I visit regularly just has us post "grow logs", where you start a thread and add to it as you plant grows, then people can comment and help you on your grow. What can I do to help spread the word about this site? Have the owners considered sponsors and advertising? Might be more beneficial once we have an established member base. I'm just interested in seeing this site succeed. I've been to the other gardening forums around the web and they all lack personality, style, and depth. All things that this site already has a good start on. |
