The New York Botanical Garden is one of the most well-known botanical gardens in the world. Situated in the Bronx borough of New York City, this garden sits on 250 acres and contains 50 gardens and plant collections. It was founded in 1891 and it acts as the region's leader in research and plant collection. The New York Botanical Garden has also remained as international leader when it comes to research. If you ever are scheduling a trip to see one of these gardens, this would certainly be a place to keep in mind, as they contain some of the best collections of plants in the entire world.

A few years ago while a visit in Germany, I visited a really beautiful botanical garden in Kassel, a city in the center of Gemany, about 100mls north of Frankfurt.
It is called "Sieben Begen" (translated "Seven Hills"). It might not be as big as other famous gardens around the world, but it can compete with them by it's beauty and design. ![]() Another beautiful botanical garden in the same town is the Bergpark Wilhelmshoehe, a Baroque Park which is very famous and well known as Europe' biggest Hill Park. Here you will find a beautiful combination of beautiful flowers, plants and trees and historical buildings.

If you ever get the chance to travel to Germany, especially the southern part of Germany, so I recommend also a visit of the "Flower Island" Mainau which is located on the lake Bodensee, close to the border of Switzerland.
