Lightbulb A niffty way to save water without guttering!

As you may or may not know,i recently managed to get myself an allotment or 2! one for the kids to plod on and one for the "serious" growing.

I have one proplem that, until recently was unsolved. WATER . As any new allotmentier will know, when starting a new allotment that hasnt been worked for a few years, and has no shed or anything from which to hang a gutter on, and to get enough waterbarrels to store water can be very hard.and yes i even contempleted trying to rig something out of the resident tree i came up with this....... I recently was given, by a friend moving house, two very large rolls of reinforced plastic sheeting, i then went to the local tip and got four very stout pieces of wooden poles....... sunk them into the ground and attached the plastic sheeting on top to form an inverted tent type contraption, placing a barrel underneath it i now have a "water tent" (i should market this haha!), after which i plan to get a few barrels linked up to this main one and they can feed each other, so no need for any expensive shed purchase! Let me know if you have any other innovative ways and means of doing things on allotments, i'm all ears!

Cool idea! Can you post photos of your water reclamation/storage system?
