Thumbs up Potting on seedlings.

When I pot on my seedlings into individual pot I place a tea bag in the pot. The roots grow through this and are not damaged when potting on further. Teabag also retains water.

That's a really interesting idea. I'll give it a try. Is this with a regular old tea bag? I would think the roots would have a hard time growing through, but I guess not...

Use tea bags that have not been used. I also use them when repotting my houseplants. Line the bottom of the new pot with them before adding compost. They help to keep the plants moist by retaining a certain amount of water.

That's very interesting...never heard of that before. I do know that it's good for ferns to water them with unsweetened tea once in a while.

Is there any specific kind of tea that should be used? Or can I use some of my older chamomile or peppermint bags?
