Question about hyacinths
I have some hyacinths that have been in the ground for years, and the bulbs have multiplied. But the blooms are skimpy, with not nearly as many florets as they should have.
If I divide them, will the blooms fill out again, or is it possible that have they reverted to the wild form? |

Thanks, Mindy...that's what I was afraid of.
That's what I love about daffodils...they last forever. I've divided mine several times over the years, and now I have around five thousand. |

Hyacinths planted outside are rarely if ever as good in the second or subsequent years if you leave them in the ground. It's a good idea to let the foliage die down, then lift them and store them until planting time comes round again.

Well, Paul, these have been in the ground at least 15 years, so I guess that's the problem.
