worm castings in hydroponics?

can you use worm casting tea to make a hydroponic nutrient solution? are castings water soluble enough, and dose it have all the nutrition a plant would need? if so, how much would one need to water it down and replace the solution in the system? iv read conflicting ideas on the subject...

One of the potential issues of adding a rich microbial solution to a hydroponic system is that sludge can accumulate and plug up equipment, not to mention using up considerable amounts of oxygen (which is very important for healthy root growth, along with the growth of many beneficial microbes). Some suggest sterilizing the solution with hydrogen peroxide prior to use, but to me this seems to potentially defeat the purpose of using worm tea at all.

I came across one particular technique for organic hydroponics that sounds as though it would lend itself very well to the use of worm tea and other rich organic nutrient solutions (or even solid worm castings) - without requiring sterilization.

I have a worm farm and I feed them all kitchen waste and that makes very nice compost tea.

I tried using it by adding to my hydro reservoir and got some nasty pathogens and biota plugged up my pumping system.

I began to treat tea with H2O2 and the pathogens went away.

No noticeable difference in growth rate, plant taste, fruit mass......stopped using the tea in hydro and now put it on dirt garden where it is hugely successful.
