When I purchased my house the prior owners had a massive amount of bamboo in the back half of the yard. While it did provide a reasonable amount of privacy, it was also a headache as it blocked out most of the sun that fell on the yard. I just finished clearing it all out and now I have to tackle killing the roots.
I was able to get rid of most of the shoots by posting on craigslist that I had free bamboo to give away. Most people are using the stocks as privacy slats or as trellises. |
