New Seedling Container
22 March 2008 New Seedling Container 22 March 2008 New Seeding Container. While burning holes in a plastic cup for producing a seedling container the conventional method of making holes in the bottom stuck me as probably unnecessary. Why not make a small area to contain water. I decided to make the drain holes in the side a small distance from the bottom. This leaves a small reservoir to keep some water . Usually this will be far enough from the roots to prevent damage, and hopefully will supply water due to wick effect longer than would be the case if the holes were in the bottom. The seeds planted are Jade Cross Brussel Sprouts. Anyway it is worth a try. |
