Figs Coming In

I saw this beatiful picture of Chef in the Garden's figs and it made me want to check how ripe our Mediterranean Figs are doing. Very well! Just picked the first ripe bunch of the season. Yum!

Can you grow figs in zone 6? Are they difficult?

You can grow figs in zone 6, but they may have to be grown in containers so that they can be brought inside during the winter. I hear good varieties for container planting are "Brown Turkey", "Negronne" and "Celeste."
